The Charlie Cart was inspired by the chuckwagon, a mobile field kitchen designed in 1866 and named for chuck, a slang term for food or provisions. With a full set up that included work surfaces, storage, water, and firewood, the chuckwagon was the original kitchen on wheels (horse drawn!). The Charlie Cart is meant to be the great-great-grandchild of the chuckwagon, making food education mobile and more convenient.
