EQUIPMENT

In addition to the oven and cooktop, every Charlie Cart comes fully equipped with an oven, rinse station, induction cooktop, and 170+ pieces of cooking equipment. The program is fully integrated — to make the recipes in the lessons, you only need the tools supplied on the cart. Our team has carefully crafted the ideal set of equipment to execute the recipes/lessons, which means that you can spend less time on logistics and more time cooking!

CURRICULUM

  • A set of 54 lesson plans, aligned to Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards
  • Simple, seasonal recipes that teach foundational cooking skills 
  • Cross-disciplinary connections between food, health and the environment
  • Developed by educators and professional chefs

Support

Every Charlie Cart comes with a limited Basic Training Session that allows you to get started right away. Our team will review the nuts and bolts of the cart, curriculum and tools.

We can also come to you! For an additional fee, our team can help you elevate your skills with our Food Educator’s Workshop.  This 4-hour workshop is held on-site at your location, for up to 30 participants.

When you become a part of the Charlie Cart network, our team of experts supports your staff in reaching its goals. We know first-hand how challenging it can be to roll out a new program, especially when it involves cooking, and we’re here to help! In addition, we also provide access to all of our program sites across the country — so that you can learn from your peers in food education.  With over 130 program locations in 36 states, you will have access to folks across the country who are doing this work in their community.

We want you to make the most of your Charlie Cart! One Basic Training Session is included with every Charlie Cart. Want to learn more skills for a larger group? We also offer our Food Educator's Workshop, an on-site training for an additional fee.
